Voices from the Former East: A Polyphonic Artist Talk

Podium discussion with three artists originally from Eastern Europe who will talk about post-socialist aesthetics, problems of centre and periphery, decolonization, and nationalism in relation to their artistic practices within the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine. The event will be held in English and is organised as part of the seminar "Exhibitions and Studio Visits: Artists and Artworks with Eastern-European Reception" at Humboldt University.

The artists participating in our podium discussion are the contemporary artist Jaanus Samma, conceptionalist Yuri Leiderman and the artist Luise Schröder focusing on German memory culture.
